Since 1999, Diesel Performance Products has provided turbo diesel owners from passenger cars, to over the road trucks with a safe and proven solution to the high cost of diesel fuel and maintenance, with the introduction in 2000 of the patented Powershot 2000 / Diesel Fuel Saver, propane fumigation system, also known as propane injection. With its innovative proprietary and patented technology, (Patent #6,422015), results have always been superior to any other system on the market, even those costing thousands more.
This established alternative fuel technology is designed to allow for the retrofit of diesel engines, without the need to change or modify the design or operation of the engine. The system hardware is mounted externally and does not require any modification of the engine.
The Powershot is a variable-stage vapor injection system. Other systems are only activated with boost pressure. The Powershot system is activated, controlled and varied in proportion to the boost pressure of the engine. The system comes on slow and steady and as the boost increases, so does the flow of propane. More boost = more propane = better performance and mileage gains! Fully adjustable, it can be customized for your specific driving application in minutes (for towing, performance or mileage gains).
Since 2000, this easy-to-install system has safely and substantially increased fuel ecomony and performance for thousands of vehicles; passenger cars, light and heavy duty trucks, motorhomes, agriculture and stand alone engines. With no permanent modifications required, installation time is short (approximately three to four hours).
It is a must for extra towing power and is designed especially for those applications where the vehicle struggles when climbing hills, passing or merging, and for all-around performance. Another added bonus is net mileage gains from 20 to 30% mpg depending on the vehicle.

The improved combustion also means a reduction in CO 2 by as much as 10%, harmful NOx by as much as 50% and black smoke emissions.
Also known as the Eco-Shot, it has passed stringent emissions testing and regulations for several engine groups, the ADR-Australian Design Rule (ADR 79/00) & Euro standards (E2467R0100023), to become the first and only fumigation system to receive emission certification anywhere.
We have a proven, not just claimed, safety record. Every imaginable safety feature has been incorporated into the design and engineering of the product. The quality of the components is obvious: from the custom machined billet aluminum anodized LP regulator to the automotive UL rated LP fuel lock-off solenoid valve (located in the preferred spot, at the tank). Using low pressure, propane vapor (drawn from the top of the tank), eliminates the need for bulky and intrusive under hood, engine mounted installations, vaporizers, that require routing propane through coolant lines. An additional regulator maintains a constant tank pressure regardless of outside temperatures. A DOT / ASME (permanently mounted) vapor propane tank is required and are sold separately. We have many sizes of tanks and mounting options available.
